European Histology Forum 2024

On Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th Solmedia Ltd sponsored the European Histology Forum 2024 at GSK, Stevenage. This year was the 18th annual event, bringing together like-minded UK & European Histologists, pathologists and imaging scientists to meet to exchange ideas, support the formation of new partnerships and continue to curate established networks in person. The continued development of the associated technology landscape was a platform to directly connect to this cohort of scientists, enabling education about recent and future technological advancements in the field.

This year’s programme covered a wide range of topics from the importance of robust antibody validation techniques, challenging samples for IHC, various multiplexing techniques and technologies with regulatory considerations for clinical diagnostics and a change of gear with how histopathology is used in veterinary forensics. Given the continued deployment of image analysis to produce quantitative data from images, there were several digital pathology-related presentations which provided information on high-quality imaging techniques to leverage the full impact of the tools available to scientists and pathologists.

The European Histology Forum not only presents a great opportunity for our team to meet new and existing customers face to face, build stronger relationships and learn more about their laboratory needs, but it also introduces us to new industry information on processes, techniques and guidelines.

As the industry grows and develops, so do our products. Through continuous research and development, we work closely with our partners and manufacturers to design, create and develop products, based on knowledge and feedback, innovating new and existing products to meet laboratory needs and standards.

We are continuously learning valuable knowledge about the application of our products and the constant adaptation of processes within the lab through our customers and events like the European Histology Forum. Thus, ensuring there is longevity within our products and providing solutions to laboratories that are more ergonomic, endorse efficiency and remain cost-effective.
