Steven Ramsis, New Project Manager

We asked Steven some questions to give you an insight into who Steven is and his role at Solmedia, read his answers below to find out more.

Who is Steven Ramsis?

“I’m originally from Egypt, and with much of my family deeply involved in the lab supplies and consumables industry, it’s become a passion that runs through the family. I’m committed to helping laboratories operate more efficiently, offering practical solutions to their challenges, and ensuring they have everything they need to excel.”

What is your Role at Solmedia?

“I am Solmedia’s New Project Manager, where I’m responsible for the introduction, project management, and handover of new product developments—taking them from concept through to trials, feedback, and final implementation. I also use my experience in Marketing to support the marketing team, and I really enjoy both roles at Solmedia.”

What do you enjoy most about working at Solmedia?

“I love seeing our new products evolve and witnessing the positive impact they have on lab workflows. Working alongside my colleagues is another highlight—the support I receive and the laughs we share make an already great job even better. What’s most rewarding is knowing that by helping labs work more efficiently, we’re also contributing to people’s diagnoses and recovery.”

What do you do outside of work?

“Outside of work, I like to stay active by going to the gym, which helps me stay energised and focused. In addition to that, I have a passion for music, and I enjoy spending time working on my own tracks and exploring creativity through sound. I’m also currently completing a bachelor’s degree in Business and Management, which allows me to develop new skills and insights that I can apply to my work. Balancing these interests keeps me motivated and constantly learning, both personally and professionally.”

A fun fact about Steven?

“I have a strong appreciation for tattoos, as they’re a unique form of self-expression that I really connect with. Interestingly, when I was younger, I dreamt of becoming a pilot and flying a Boeing 787. While my path has changed, that love for exploration and challenge still drives me today.”
