HITTING THE GROUND RUNNING

It might only be a matter of weeks, but it feels like months since Histology labs were running at full capacity.  However, in a very short amount of time, we expect that many will be ramping things back up to normal, with emergency and cancer operations coming back on track.

Getting back up to speed may involve a quick stock-take of supplies.  Although many labs put the brakes on their testing with incredible speed, and will therefore have plenty of supplies in reserve, there may be one or two things that you are missing.  Equally, if you have standing orders with us, and have cancelled them for obvious reasons (our policy is to maintain a completely flexible approach), then you may need to get back in touch for those items that you are now missing.  We are ready and waiting to help.

We have been dealing with one or two changes of our own too.  Our equipment division is supplied by Diapath, whose factory is in Northern Italy.  This has meant that, other than the models that we have already in stock, we have been unable to replenish this side of the business for several weeks.  We are delighted that our Italian colleagues are now back at work and we are able to scale up our equipment division once more.  Why not contact your regional sales manager for more information?  We would be happy to organise a demonstration (remotely, or subject to social distancing measures) – and this might just be the perfect time to invest in a new tissue processor, or the microtome your staff will be needing very shortly.

Ultimately, we are still here for the histology lab – and ready to support you in whatever way we can.  Now, just as always, we are here to help you run the most efficient laboratory.
