Vaportest Badges are lightweight devices that collect gas and airborne contaminants in the workplace.

Our badges are made from a plastic housing that contains a permeable, absorbent membrane that can be lab tested. Multiple substances can be sampled on a single badge at the same time, helping you assess the exposure level of the gases and vapours around you.

FORMALDEHYDE PASSIVE VAPORTEST BADGE

Formaldehyde Passive Vaportest Badge monitors; personnel or work areas in healthcare, laboratories, as well as monitors the air in the chemical, pulp/paper, foundry and textile industries. However, the badges are not acceptable for STEL monitoring.

All Vaportest Badges are simple and effective devices that collect contaminants through the scientific principle of diffusion. They meet or exceed OSHA accuracy requirements of ±25% at 95% confidence level for many work contaminants.

ORGANIC VAPOUR VAPORTEST BADGE FOR XYLENE

Organic Vapour Passive Vaportest Badge uses a single charcoal sorbent wafer for easy collection of organic vapours with analysis by gas chromatography.

VAPORTEST THG, MIBK AND MEK BADGES  – NEW

The THG, MIBK and MEK Vaportest Badge for chemical hazards Methyl ethyl ketone, Methyl isobutyl ketone and Tetrahydrogestrinone meets OSHA/ASTM/ANSI requirements. The badges identify as a viable alternative to active sampling in OSHA 16 (MEK) method and Passive method OSHA 1004. 

Each sampler contains Anasorb 747, 500 mg and can be validated for 15-min and 8-hr occupational sampling. Lab and field studies conducted with several compounds show suitability for 24-hr air sampling.

VAPORTEST ETHYLENE OXIDE PASSIVE BADGES  – NEW

Ethylene oxide is widely used to sterilise medical equipment and supplies. Exposure health effects can range from respiratory irritation to cancer and reproductive/mutagenic effects.  

These highly accurate passive samplers are fully validated to ANSI/ISEA 104-1998 Standard and use the same sorbent as active OSHA Method 1010 to collect Ethylene Oxide.  Each sampler contains Anasorb 747 coated with Hydrobromic acid (500mg) and can be validated up 8-hours at a 0.1 to 4ppm range. 

The Vaportest Ethylene Oxide Badges are ideal for all hospitals, veterinary clinics and sterile instrument manufacturers.

AIR MONITORING BADGES SERVICES

We supply a full analysis service of the Vaportest. This is included with any Vaportest purchase and carried out in our own in-house lab. All tests are completed within 10 days and are UKAS certified. There are 4 simple steps to this service:

STEP 1.

Wear the Vapotest air monitoring badges for a required time in an exposed environment.

STEP 2.

Return the worn badges back to Solmedia ltd for processing and analysis:

STEP 3.

The Vaportest Badge sample is processed and analysed by UKAS certified laboratory technicians.

STEP 4.
