This year’s Annual Participants Meeting provides a great opportunity to connect with customers in person, share expertise and showcase the latest innovations shaping the future of cellular pathology. Our team will be on hand to provide knowledge and guidance on a range of equipment and consumables. As part of our display, we will be showcasing SLEE’s Ergotec Workbench – designed to enhance both ergonomics and efficiency in the laboratory.

Hosted by Liverpool University, the Histology Facility Managers Meeting North brings together research technical professionals from academic facilities across the north of the UK. The event provides a community in which ideas and best practices can be shared on a wide range of topics including service provision, training, new equipment and technique development.

Our sales team have joined a range of Life Sciences suppliers at Alderley Park for the Autumn Suppliers Fair, to give the local life science community an opportunity to engage with us and see a range of products including the Ergotec worktable from SLEE medical GmbH, pipettors and SafeTread laboratory floor covering.

The Annual Participants Meeting is a great opportunity to meet our customers and potential new customers face to face. Events like these enable us to showcase our range of products and equipment, in which we will be displaying and showcasing a wide range of histology equipment and consumables that are designed to improve efficiency and results that will contribute to the quality and speed of patient diagnosis.

Solmedia Ltd sponsored the European Histology Forum 2024 at GSK, Stevenage. This year was the 18th annual event, bringing together like-minded UK & European Histologists, pathologists and imaging scientists to meet to exchange ideas, support the formation of new partnerships and continue to curate established networks in person. The continued development of the associated technology landscape was a platform to directly connect to this cohort of scientists, enabling education about recent and future technological advancements in the field.

The Annual Participants Meeting is a great opportunity to meet our customers and potential new customers face to face. Events like these enable us to showcase our range of products and equipment, in which we displayed our Ergotec worktable, our microtome range and our recently launched Aquatec transfer system all from German manufacturers Slee Medical GmbH. The Ergotec drew in a lot of attention with its electronic height adjustability and customisability. Whilst the other precision-engineered equipment from Slee successfully demonstrated ergonomics and proved that the user is at the forefront of their designs and manufacturing.

After the astonishing success of the IBMS Congress 2022, we returned this year to the ICC with a stand that was bigger and better than ever before. In partnership with SLEE Medical GbmH, we showcased more than double the amount of equipment than the previous year, with the introduction of two new equipment lines, the Aquatec Transfer System and Cromatec Automatic Stainer.

The COVID-19 pandemic has put science and scientists, centre stage in a way rarely seen. As well as being our most important forum for developing our professional skills and knowledge, IBMS Congress 2022 will be a true celebration of science in all its variety, influence, potential and impact on society.

We attended the NEQAS Annual Participants Meeting at The Ballsbridge Hotel and Conference Centre, Dublin. It was great to be able to sponsor such an event with the focuses of Optimisation of H&E and Special Stains, Renal, BMT and Mohs’ Scheme Discussion and Expansion at a Time of Consolidations.

This year we will be reflecting the growth of point-of-care testing by devoting a whole day lecture programme to the subject. Another new addition is our first-ever veterinary biomedical science programme that will appeal to everyone – not just those working in veterinary laboratories.

The basic pathological processes workshop is designed to give the attendees an understanding of pathological processes from; inflammation, vascular changes, cell degeneration, cell death to neoplasia and cell proliferation. A greater understanding of these pathological processes will aid the attendees in their histology/histologist roles.

On 30th October 2018, we attended the NEQAS Annual Participants Meeting at the America Square Conference Centre located in the heart of the City of London’s Square Mile.
The venue offers a unique, contemporary event space with excellent transport links. The historic Roman London Wall runs through the venue providing a memorable back drop to the trade area.

The European Histopathology Forum (EHF) started as the Industrial Histopathology Discussion Group (IHDG) in 1981. It was formed originally by a small group of like-minded scientific professionals working in innovative industrial research within the field of Histopathology.

On 31st October 2017, we attended the NEQAS Annual Participants Meeting at The Roxburghe Hotel, Edinburgh. It was great to be able to sponsor such an event with the focuses of Neuropathology & Muscle Histochemistry: Boosting Performance, TEM and Cellular Pathology Proficiency Testing: Process Related Opportunities.
The IBMS Biomedical Science Congress is a bi-annual event this year. With over 20,000 members in over 30 countries, the Institute of Biomedical Science is the leading professional body for biomedical scientists, support staff and students. Aside from the exhibition the Congress features a support staff programme of lectures specifically designed for Biomedical laboratory assistants and associates.
The Congress is a major exhibition that brings together the best in science and technology to exchange best practice, innovations and network.

The Fourth Technical Skills Day was held in the seminar room and lounge of the AV Hill Building on Thursday 30th March; this was an all-day event that included informative seminars and a busy trade fair. The theme for this spring’s event was Immunohistochemistry.
We had guest speakers presenting seminars covering: multi labelling, the importance of validation and the more advanced 7-plex Tyramide labelling, to compliment the sessions hosted by our own in-house Histology Facility. There was a trade fair in the lounge all day, which provided the opportunity to network, discover new techniques and kits for your applications but also a chance to win a prize in our, ever popular, “passport scheme”, from the many suppliers.
