Neil Evans, Warehouse Manager

We asked Neil some questions to give you an insight into who Neil is and his role at Solmedia, read his answers below to find out more.

Who is Neil Evans?

“I’m a happy-go-lucky type of guy. I enjoy making sure everyone is happy, always telling jokes to lighten the mood and make people laugh. I am family-orientated, so much so that I work with my brother within the warehouse. I have worked in warehouses for over 15 years and enjoy what I do, taking pride in maintaining a safe and efficient warehouse for my team to work in.”

What is your Role at Solmedia?

“I am the warehouse manager at Solmedia, which involves maintaining high standards in picking, packing and dispatching of products that are going out to our customers. It’s my responsibility to ensure the warehouse is organised and tidy for efficient workflow and safe working so that customers’ orders are picked promptly and accurately and delivered on time. Not only do I manage the goods out but I also organise supplier deliveries and maintain good stock levels to avoid customer downtime and quick deliveries.”

What do you enjoy most about working at Solmedia?

“I have now worked for Solmedia for over 13 years, so I must love working at Solmedia! Not only do I enjoy my role, and contributing to helping medical labs, I honestly enjoy the people I work with. It’s a very friendly dynamic, not only in the warehouse but throughout other departments.”

What do you do outside of work?

“Outside of work I enjoy playing darts and also help run a national league darts team. This involves running of an independent darts league for all players across Shropshire. I’m a lover of sports and have also taken up Golf which definitely involves a lot more exercise than darts.”

A fun fact about Neil? 

Most people actually call me ‘DJ’ as I used to be a music DJ for pubs and clubs (they didn’t believe me) so the name has stuck!!
