ALZHEIMERS RESEARCH

When you think of Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, you might think of a loss of memory, but you might not think of a loss of life. Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive disease that destroys memory and interrupts normal mental functions.

As scientists work to combat this with new drugs and treatment the numbers steadily climb. Between 2000 and 2005 there was a 2.7% increase in Alzheimer related deaths worldwide. Some of these are the research groups at the Queen Square Brain Bank at the UCL Institute of Neurology.

Alzheimer’s Research UK raise much needed funds for this work and during the months of January and February, Solmedia will be running a series of activities to raise money for this worthy cause. Please follow us on Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter and find out how you can help.
